The Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce that it will continue its new Summer Readers’ Theater. 

The first play in the series, May 31st,  was Edward Albee’s Marriage Play directed by Jonathan Mittleman and performed by Tish Wagoner and Tony Reilly. 

The second play, presented Saturday, July 26, will be Laughing Wild by Christopher Durang.  Jonathan Mittleman will direct and Richard and Nancy Bye will read.

The reading for the third play, Saturday August 30, directed by Jonathan Mittleman is Line by Israel Horowitz. 

Admission is by donation.

The Summer Readers’ Theater will conclude its inaugural season on Saturday, September 27 with a reading of 12 Angry People (Men) directed by Austin Custodia. 

Planning is already underway for the 2009 Summer Readers’ Theater, as well as the Junior Theater - both welcome additions to our artistic and cultural scene.
