HARRY AND
GRACE PRESTON
The Board of Directors has
chosen HARRY and GRACE PRESTON to be honored this season for
their outstanding contributions to our community and of course to our
Performing Arts Center.
Harry and Grace Preston arrived
in Borrego Springs over seventeen years ago. Harry, who before migrating
to Borrego Springs had acted with several theatre groups in the San
Diego area, including the prestigious North Coast Rep Company, soon
found an outlet for his creativity by becoming an actor here on the
stage of the Performing Arts Center.
Over the years, Harry has
delighted audiences in a variety of roles. He has shown his versatility
in roles as diverse as Eliza Doolittle’s cockney father in My Fair
Lady and the villainous Waldo Lydecker in last season's production
of Laura. In addition to his talent as an actor, Harry is an
accomplished painter. While Harry enchants audiences with his humor and
talent, Grace has chosen to display her talents by creating the garden
oasis that surrounds their home.
THANK YOU HARRY FOR BRINGING TO BORREGO
YOUR TALENT AND ABOVE ALL YOUR LOVELY GRACE.
Previous honorees selected by the Board have been Mary McLellan,
John
and Lois Drum, Jim and Sally Lindeman, Fred and L'Louise Jee,
and
last season’s honorees, Cindy Wood and David Liebert.
